Dear friend,

I am writing you this email with faith that you will be of great help and a person that will be used by God to save the soul of my people currently displaced by war, occasioned by greed of our Leaders who want to hold on to power forever and at the same time milk our natural resources dry. Only to their own advantage and that of their collaborators.

Permit me to introduce myself I am Brigadier Idris Abdul Hakeem of Sierra Leone Army and the former commander 12 mechanized Brigade Sherbro Island. Until the 17th April 2003, Sherbro Island has always been peaceful, an Island of less than 350,000 inhabitants rich in Diamonds and Aquatic life. My father was a fisherman and very popular in the island.

My main purpose of contacting you is to seek your consent and full co-operation to receive and deposit the sum $18.7m United States Dollars in your account or you may open a new bank account to keep the money on behalf of my family and the island in general. You will be entitled to 20% of the total sum. This means you will remove the sum of $3,740,000 as your share for this service and the balance of $14,960,000 will be held in trust until my arrival to meet you, then I will give you the full details of how I intend to re-invest the money here in my country.

At this point I will like to explain the source of this money. Between February and June last year (2002) the ruling Government of Ahmad Tejan Kabbah invited some French and Russian businessmen to Sierra Leone. The President hosted them secretly here in Sherbro Island and negotiated with these men, a lot of our Diamonds where sold to some of these people in exchange for arms and ammunition, which were delivered between September – December (2002) while others were paid cash in dollars. These weapons were used by the Government to attack and destroy numerous rebels strong holds in some key towns and cities all over Sierra Leone. Some rebels got hint of the next visit of some of these businessmen, which was suppose to be in March but postponed to April for security reasons.

Then in April this year 2003 as usual the President sent down the money for payment to these invited businessmen. All the currencies are in US$100 bills and are carefully sealed to protect the money from been detected by security officials especially the customs.

The rebels attacked the Island on 17th April and destroyed lives and properties; they looted and destroyed my family compound where this money was hidden. Out of US$60million only US$18.7million was recovered. Seeing the damages in the Island and an opportunity to compensate my people I declared to the President that all the money were stolen, then I moved this money to our neighboring country Liberia with the intention to use the money for the benefit of the Island later.

The War in my home country Sierra Leone is still on and the recent problem in Liberia and current Issuance of warrant of arrest by the United Nations on the Liberian President Charles Tailor has made it necessary to move the money out from there to your country with the hope that you will not disappointment me in the end.

Your confirmation to assist me is required to enable me give you all the necessary details of how the money will get to you for safe keeping.
